Web Components are a set of features that provide a standard component model. By components I mean: the images, logo, titles, headers, hyperlinks, graphic design, back-end, layout, fonts and themes, and colors, and content.
Each and every component MUST add a significant something to the value proposition of your website. You would want to set up your components such that every page can be reached in three clicks. Remember, you’re redesigning?!
Focusing on improving the components on the webpages will significantly add up to improve your website, its numbers and the revenue as well.
Focus on the experience, not pages
I cannot stress enough on how much of a wonder reusable user interface is. Code reusability is one of the most important things for code velocity. every layer on your website will have a different UI and therefore, a different code. However, if you try to incorporate the same UI components on different layers, image the minimization in code complexity, run-time and the costs to redesign multiple components. Indeed, we saved a lot!
Although, reusable UI finds more of its application in React, Angular, Java and Swift. But we are the bloody front-end. Chin up guys! We too will reuse components. Businesses like Uber, Pinterest, Shopify, and Airbnb are leveraging components these days to the max to build a consistent UI/UX design system.
BONUS: Familiar looking screens makes it far more easy for your users to navigate on the platform and quick to checkout. Haha.
